Synthesis Lead and Scientific Reviewer, Apexion BioLabs
PhD, Synthetic Organic Chemistry
About Oscar
Oscar studied chemistry as an undergraduate, then completed a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with a focus on peptide synthesis and difficult-sequence coupling.
From his doctoral research he moved into a contract synthesis lab, running solid-phase peptide synthesis at the bench before shifting into process development and route scale-up.
He now leads our small synthesis team and is the person others turn to when a route won’t behave.
What Oscar Reviews
Oscar reviews our research guides for scientific accuracy before they are published, with a focus on:
- Peptide structures, sequences and nomenclature
- Mechanisms as described in the published literature, and how each study type is labelled
- Certificates of Analysis, HPLC purity and LC-MS identity content
- Storage, stability and batch-documentation guidance
What His Review Does Not Cover
UK legal and regulatory sections are checked separately against primary sources (legislation.gov.uk, MHRA, WADA) and carry their own “last checked” date. Our guides summarise published research and do not provide medical, dosing or usage advice.
